  • Mrs. Estacia T. Sanders-Hernandez, M.A.

    Mrs. Hernández is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of G.U.K. More importantly, she is the mother of 5 children: two have received college degrees, one who is currently discovering life, and two special needs children. She has over 20 years experience working in the American education system and community organizations. She earned her Master of Arts in Higher Education, Adult Education and a Master of Arts in English, Creative Writing. Her other fields of studies are English, Spanish, Reading Comprehension, Linguistics and English for non-English Speakers. Mrs. Hernández believes in learning for today and for your future through strong "learning communities."

    Señora Hernández es el Director Ejecutivo y Cofundador de G.U.K. Más importante aún, es madre de 5 hijos: dos tienen títulos universitarios, uno que actualmente está descubriendo la vida y dos niños con necesidades especiales. Tiene más de 20 años de experiencia trabajando en el sistema educativo estadounidense y en organizaciones comunitarias. Obtuvo su Maestría en Educación Superior, Educación de Adultos y una Maestría en Inglés, Escritura Creativa. Sus otros campos de estudio son inglés, español, comprensión lectora, lingüística e inglés para personas que no hablan inglés. La Sra. Hernández cree en el aprendizaje para hoy y para el futuro a través de "comunidades de aprendizaje" sólidas.

    Heratia L. Brelland is the Director of Learning and Co-Founder of G.U.K. Ms. Brelland is your Learning Specialist. Everyone learns differently! Let's explore the most effective learning style for you using proven psychological and behavioral methods. As an alumnus from Charleston Southern University's Psychology and Music Therapy Programs, Ms. Brelland emphasizes understanding how psychological systems are reflected in an individual's life experiences, relationships, religious practices as well as how an individual learns. She uses Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques that can be used for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Miss Brelland will help you become the best learner you can be!

    Heratia L. Brelland es la directora de aprendizaje y cofundadora de G.U.K. La Sra. Brelland es su especialista en aprendizaje. ¡Todos aprenden de manera diferente! Exploremos el estilo de aprendizaje más eficaz para usted utilizando métodos psicológicos y conductuales comprobados. Como alumna de los programas de psicología y musicoterapia de la Universidad Charleston Southern, la Sra. Brelland enfatiza la comprensión de cómo los sistemas psicológicos se reflejan en las experiencias de vida, las relaciones y las prácticas religiosas de un individuo, así como en cómo aprende un individuo.   • Laffon Brelland Jr. is the Financial and Grant Manager

    Laffon Brelland Jr. Is a well-traveled and versatile educator. He gained his bachelor's degree at the University of South Carolina and his master's at Kennesaw State University. Laffon taught English in Costa Rica for two years and 1 year in the United States. He comes with 5+ years of coaching experience. As a recent college graduate himself, both pre and post covid, he carries the experience of navigating college, post-college life, and alternative high educational opportunities. Laffon spends his free time coaching sports or freelance writing.

    Laffon Brelland Jr. es un educador versátil y que ha viajado mucho. Obtuvo su licenciatura en la Universidad de Carolina del Sur y su maestría en la Universidad Estatal de Kennesaw. Laffon enseñaba inglés en Costa Rica para dos años y 1 año en Estados Unidos. Viene con más de 5 años de experiencia como entrenador. Como recién graduado de la universidad, tanto antes como después de la covid, tiene la experiencia de navegar por la universidad, la vida posuniversitaria y las oportunidades alternativas de educación superior. Laffon dedica su tiempo libre a entrenar deportes o escribir como autónomo.

My favorite way to learn is usually in a way that's fun. I plan on becoming a YouTuber and making my own videos. Right now I'm making my own edits on TikTok.
